Evaluating Harding Black Pottery

The pottery produced by Harding ranges from his 'bread and butter pots' through the cutting edge works of art. This is not intended to be derogatory of the pots produced to pay the bills as they an important segment of the total that defines the life of this very important ceramic artist. I think Harding clearly understood that it is difficult to pursue art if one can't pay the bills.

While collectors often brag that the item is more important than money when you dig deep enough the money is still important. While it is said that every man has his price I will guarantee that short of a life and death situation Bill Gates and Warren Buffett combined don't have enough money to buy some of the pieces I own but that does not mean that market value isn't important to me.
